Stock charts are fascinating, and they are controversial as well. It is not difficult to find articles and websites devoted to showing that stock prices move randomly, but at the same time most displays of stock prices show stock charts as well, indicating that many people believe stock price movements do have significance.

Reading and interpreting stock charts is a science as well as an art. The best way to look at stock charts is to add a few indicators, become familiar with how they behave in relation to how the stock price moves over time, and start reading the charts like a story.
