How To Apply
To apply for an opportunity to participate in the Artist Residency Program at the
Burden Artist's Guild, you must fill out our application form and include all required materials,
(see Application Requirements below). Applications will only be considered after ALL
of the required materials have been submitted. Applications are reviewed four times a year;
December, March, June, and September by the Syndics
of the B.A.G.
Application Deadlines
The following deadlines will
be strictly enforced:
For residencies from October through December: September 1, 1999
For residencies from January through March: December 1, 1999
For residencies from April through June: March 1, 2000
For residencies from July through September: June 1, 2000
Application Requirements

Updated professional resume. |
2. |
Appropriately-sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope
if you desire return of slides.
- Your work sample will not be returned after the review unless you
have included this. |
3. |
Two self-addressed legal size envelopes
- No stamps necessary. |

No fee is required for application process

Sample of recent work as follows: |

Visual Artists: |
Send exactly twenty color slides of recent work. Number each slide on the
front and identify with your name. Be sure to indicate top and front clearly.
Include Slide List using corresponding numbers and list slides by title, medium,
size and year work was completed.
Videotapes will be considered in the visual arts category.

Performance Artists: |
One videotape of recent work.
Include a 2-paragraph discussion of the work.

Other disciplines: |
If your work does not fit clearly into the above categories, please
contact Burden Artist's Guild Staff for advice
on the format of your application.
